This Policy describes the types of personal information we obtain when you use the Services how we may use the information; with whom we may share it; the rights that you have with respect to your information; and the choices available to you regarding our use of your information. How We Protect Personal Information

We may obtain certain information in connection with your use of the Services.

When you sign up to receive certain types of information (such as email newsletters, product software upgrades, and some licensee-related documents) or otherwise actively send us data (such as to sign up for a Service, participate in a contest or engage with a website we operate for business partners), we obtain data such as your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, login credentials, business details, and any other information you provide. This may include personal information to create or modify an account or submitted through our surveys, registrations, reviews, and “Support” and “Contact Us” features.

We collect information from you when you interact with Dolby.io. For example, if you utilize Dolby Millicast, we process voice or video calls, audio or audio/visual media files, and documents or other information you may share through the usage of Dolby.io. If you utilize THEOplayer or THEOlive, we process your login information, contact information, and other information you may share with us (for instance, for customer support). Additionally, we collect information when you use the chat functionality on the Dolby.io website, when you otherwise communicate through Dolby.io, or when you use customer support tools or services—for instance, if you utilize the diagnostic recording feature to submit content for customer support, we may obtain voice or video recordings from you. Information that you submit through chat functionality is shared with and stored by our third-party vendors for purposes of providing the chat functionality. We may also obtain voice or video recordings from you if you utilized the storage feature as part of your use of Dolby.io.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you. For example, if you use our customer support tools or services, we may obtain any other information you choose to provide.

If you purchase a product from our [online store](https://prostore.dolby.com/), or otherwise pay for a Service (such as Dolby.io), we will request that you provide name, email address, company name, billing and shipping address, phone number, and payment card details (including card number, expiration date and security code). Your payment-related details are collected and stored by our third-party payment processor on our behalf.

Solely with respect to the PHRTF Creator App, we ask you to capture video of your head and shoulders to generate a personalized PHRTF based on images and measurements related to your features from the video footage. This video footage remains on your device and is not shared with Dolby. Information shared with Dolby includes your PHRTF and other non-personal data that is used to deliver your personalized audio experience (such as spatially-oriented format for acoustics file and a renderer coefficient). To help us generate a personalized audio setting, we also ask you to complete an optional survey of demographic information, including your sex, age, height, weight, and ethnicity.

For recruitment purposes, you may provide personal data including contact information (such as name, postal address, email address and mobile or other phone number); your CV or resume; other files or content you provide (such as cover letter, references, transcripts, photographs, videos, articles, voluntary survey responses, comments, and links to websites such as LinkedIn or GitHub); academic and professional details (such as work experience, job titles, skills, professional certifications or licenses, educational background, and transcripts); and login details (user ID and password). In the United States, information you provide to us may also include citizenship or work permit status, and your willingness to relocate. In addition, our application may contain optional questions about demographic information including your gender and race/ethnicity. Answering these demographic questions is completely voluntary. Your responses, or your choice to not respond, will not be associated with your specific application and will not in any way be used in the hiring decision, nor will you be subject to any adverse treatment by Dolby.

You may share information about job opportunities at Dolby with others by providing the recipient’s and your email addresses. Please ensure the recipient’s contact information is accurate and he or she has consented to you providing such information to Dolby and receiving such communications via email. We use these contact details only to fulfill your request. If you provide us with personal information of another person (for instance, a potential employee/referral), you are responsible for ensuring that such person is made aware of the information contained in this Policy, and that the person has given you his/her consent for sharing the information with Dolby.

We may also collect or receive information about you from your references, professional licensing and certification bodies, recruiting agencies, talent management service providers, and other third parties. Subject to applicable law, this may include information that you make publicly available, such as information that you post on sites used for professional and social networking, including LinkedIn and GitHub.

When you access the Services, we may obtain certain information by automated means. The information we obtain in this manner may include information about your usage of and how you interact with our Services, device-related data (such as the IP address of your computer and/or Internet service provider, identifiers associated with your devices), the date and time you access our Services, the Internet address of websites from which you link to our Services, the computer technology you are using, your interactions with and preferences on our Services, usage statistics, and other analytics and technical information. To collect this information, we use technology such as browser cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, server logs, and other similar technologies. You can learn more about these technologies and how to manage your preferences by visiting our [Cookie Policy](https://www.dolby.com/about/legal/privacy/cookie-policy/)[.](https://www.dolby.com/about/legal/privacy/cookie-policy/)
